Founded in 2018 by a team of renewable energy engineers and commercial property specialists, Bee Solar started with a simple mission: make solar accessible, profitable, and hassle-free for UK businesses. What began as a small team installing panels on local warehouses has grown into one of the North West's most trusted commercial solar providers, with over 200 successful installations across the UK.

From Startup to Award-Winning Solar Provider
Bee Solar Founded
James Whitfield and a small team of renewable energy engineers launch Bee Solar in Manchester, focusing on warehouse rooftop installations in the North West.
First 50 Installations
We hit our 50th commercial installation, expand the engineering team to 12, and achieve NICEIC and CHAS accreditation.
ISO Certification & COVID Resilience
Despite the pandemic, Bee Solar secures ISO 9001 and SafeContractor accreditation. We pivot to contactless site surveys using drone and satellite imagery.
Energy Consulting Division Launched
We launch a dedicated energy consulting division, offering ESOS audits, load profiling, and tariff optimisation to complement our installation services.
Battery Storage & DSR Services
Bee Solar adds commercial battery storage design and installation. Clients begin earning revenue from Demand Side Response and grid balancing services.
UK-Wide Coverage Achieved
With offices in Manchester, Birmingham, and Bristol, Bee Solar now operates across England, Wales, and Scotland — completing our 150th project.
