An innovative solar carport installation providing covered parking for 80 vehicles while generating clean electricity for the retail park's common areas, EV charging stations, and tenant supply.
The Challenge
The retail park had limited roof space due to multiple separate units with different landlords. Surface parking covered two acres, offering an alternative mounting structure. Planning permission required visual impact assessment as the site was visible from a main arterial road.
Our Solution
Bee Solar designed a sleek mono-pitch solar carport using anodised aluminium frames that complement the retail park's modern architecture. The 120 kWp array powers 8 EV charging points and feeds the common area supply, with excess exported under a premium SEG tariff.
